Hey Reader, There's no "best of the blog" this month. I gave up. Honestly, it's a little embarrassing. I gave you his flashy speech about how I missed writing and wanted to post every day. But then, just 37 days later, I stopped posting. I wasn't going to send this email... So what's my message for you today? Post that piece of content. Here's why. They don't give a f*ck.
“You wouldn’t worry so much about what others think of you if you realized how seldom they do.”

— Olin Miller
I get it. You’re worried your friends, family, and colleagues are going to be stewing over your post. They'll think about it all day and dissect it over dinner with their nearest and dearest. I have news for you. They won’t. In fact, they’ll probably scroll past, think for a couple of seconds, and then keep scrolling. Granted, you might post something that people get angry with. I sure have. I've even pissed off friends (accidentally, of course.) The point is, that’s okay. You should welcome it.
If You Can’t Stop Worring About What Other People Think, at Least Put It in the Right Perspective“Irrespective of what happened at the beginning of time, we know there was a period 13.8 billion years ago when the part of the Universe that we can see today, containing over 350 billion large galaxies and with a diameter of over 90 billion light years, was compressed into a region of space smaller than a single atom.”

— Professor Brian Cox
Exactly. What I do — posting on the internet — matters not one jot. It really doesn’t. Thunderstorms and staring at the night sky make me realise this. The pressure is off. Why So Serioussss“All the world’s a stage, // And all the men and women merely players; // They have their exits and their entrances; // And one man in his time plays many parts […]”

— William Shakespeare, As You Like It
I hate to break it to you. We’ll soon be dead. The approximate number of people who’ve ever lived is 120 billion, and there are currently ~8.3 billion people alive today. The dead outnumber us 15:1. Point being? We’re not special snowflakes. We’ll soon be forgotten. “History is something very few people have been doing while everyone else was ploughing fields and carrying water buckets.”

Hey Reader, Here are 5 of my favourite blogs from August: The Year is 2082... The Power of Goals Write Letters to Your Future Self AI Kitchen Robots Are Here Getting Pulled in Different Directions Something I've been thinking about is the quiet life. I wrote about this in Jan. (The article blew up.) Why? I guess the world seems more fractured than ever now. AI. Authoritarianism. Social media. The climate crisis. There's so much scary sh*t. As a result, many of us want to turn the clocks back...
Hey Reader, The last email I sent to you was in April 2025. So why am I back? It's simple, really. I missed you. Keep me subscribed Where the hell have I been? TLDR: The last 18 months have been... *challenging* I lost my step-dad I quit two jobs — one which was extremely toxic My girlfriend recently moved into my place (obvs wonderful but still a major life change!) I've also picked up new hobbies like running and football commentating. But here's the thing... Writing is the only thing I've...
Hey Reader, 4 years ago, I started building this email list. And honestly? It's one of the best things I've ever done. Writing online has helped me connect with people all over the world, work from anywhere, and build long-lasting friendships. I'm extremely grateful to those who've stuck around. You know who you are. But my life is changing. And so too are my priorities. For the longest time, I felt like I had something to prove. (F*ck knows who to.) Writing. Travelling. Business-ing. It was...
